In its initial proposed monopoly remedy filing, the DOJ outlined a broad set of potential
measures aimed at addressing how Alphabet may distribute and manage its Search
services in the future. These include terminating the company's exclusive agreements
with partners like Apple and Samsung, limiting data tracking, forced sharing data,
behavior monitoring, and structural measures (divesting Chrome and Android possible).
While the list was extensive (see page 4 for highlights), we expected the DOJ to be
aggressive per press reports, and believe that the initial proposed set of remedies were
generally in line with investor expectations. However, the court filing did weigh on
